I've opened an older '95 Bordeaux, and we've had a simple dinner of broiled salmon served with an roasted apple/garlic/pinot reduction, along with some quinoa and peas, poached in some chicken stock I made today. Julie picked up a panettone for a snack, and we're most certainly in for the evening.
