We've been talking about new gift baskets at Desert Island Foods™.com, and we're about evenly split so far. Then it dawned on me that I have the greatest focus group in the world right here.
What do you expect in a gift basket? As far as the basket goes, handles or no handles? Light colored wicker or darker? Oval or round?
I'd love to hear what you all think.
i like the round dark one best. no handles to get in the way. good to store odds and ends in around the house.

Thanks! I'm looking forward to hearing from the ladies, too.
yeah, I have to go with Michael. I hate handles. Sure, they are convenient to carry but they make it tough to store the basket and they also get in the way if you are going to use it for odds n ends or as a display piece with a flower pot or something in it.
Scott... what about using something that can be used in the kitchen in lieu of a basket... like a colander or a large wire strainer?
Just a thought.
Wow, that's a terrific thought, Shelleigh. I'll have to see what's available.
I like the handle I think it has a nice warmth to it. The other reminds me of fruit or bread.
Plus you can "carry" it and it seems to inviting to see that.
Just my two cents -
I am here thanks to carin's blog and the ymmy links > http://isthisblogon.blogspot.com/
and we're all about presentation at our web store. :)
Thanks, Kel. If I have to wrap the basket in cello, so you can't carry it by the handle when you're delivering it, do you still think a handle is more useful after you receive it?
