E-Z Hook®

I haven't had a chance to talk about this yet, but a customer turned me onto the E-Z Hook® last year and gave me one to try out. I was so impressed that I decided to carry it at Desert Island Foods™.com.
The E-Z Hook® is made of hardwood with a stainless steel hook. I'm carrying the smallest size right now, but they make a 14", 19", and 27" version, too. It's based on a South African 'gaffel', and these are handcrafted and made in the U.S.
It's really versatile, and it's just amazing how little space it takes up out by the grill and in a drawer. Really easy to clean, too.
From their website:
The EZ HOOK is so EZ to use, it will fast become your favorite and most used kitchen utensil. anything you can fork, you can hook. When used for cooking, just barely touch the top outside edge of your meat, turn your wrist a quarter turn as in a fish-hook position, lift it straight up, then lay it back down and reverse a quarter turn out of it. That's all! Its extremely sharp, stainless steel hook doesn't penetrate deep enough to lose the natural juices. Unlike a fork, whatever you are holding will not fall off until you are ready to put it down, making it a great tool for frying in a skillet (no oil splashed over you & your stove). It is absolutely the best tool ever for frying bacon! When using in a skillet or non-stick cooking surface, lay the point flat against the meat and slide it to the side until hooked, and lift. The E-Z HOOK can also be used for pickles, olives, peppers, cherries, fresh vegetables, cheese; dredging meat, poultry or fish for double battering (eliminating pasty fingers!); and as a serving piece on your buffet or dining table. They are great gifts for weddings, housewarmings, hostess, Christmas, businesses - and "thank-you" gifts.
What do you think? Give it a try! They're only $5.99.

That is just sweet looking, I just may have to order a couple. My gadget drawer can never be too cluttered... it's just more things to play with.

It's pretty darn handy, Chris. You can always return it if you don't dig it. No problem.

I bought different sizes about 3 years ago, now I am down to one because my mom and my daughters took them home to try. They won't bring them back! Since they are family, I'll have to replace them soon as I loved having different sizes. I ended up with the smallest one, since it is easiest for my 10 yr old daughter to use for her pickle jar, but I like the longer ones for outdoor grilling. I'll order double this time so my visitors won't leave with what I need!
I know you will find lots of uses for the EZ Hook, because I STILL am!

We're considering adding a few more sizes, Marsha. Which of the larger did you like?
Thanks for stopping by!
