Road Trip- Day 2

Survival Spice- the spicy, flavorful all natural gluten free barbecue rub that's great on just about anything Link to Desert Island Foods.com

We had a killer burger bar setup for football last night- choice ground round with Survival Spice on a killer sesame roll- roasted peppers, carmelized onions, and sauteed portabellos in a beurre blanc sauce with a variety of cheeses and all the trimmings. Sorry, no pictures but you can just imagine the greasy goodness, can't you?

It just goes to show that even a simple burger can kick butt if you do it right. And this stuff was right. Life was good, even if the Steelers went down whining...

Back in the office Thursday.

What's your dream burger?

OK, I know I'll be banned from this site, but my dream burger is cooked on a grill to a state of thin, snappy, almost-burned-beyond-recognition blackness that resembles a coaster, topped with a cool slice of red onion, a little dijon, and some American cheese. And fries. And an uber-fizzy Pepsi.
I'll go hide in my not-food-hip cave now. :)

Banned, Julie? Far from it, you will be strapped to a chair ala Clockwork Orange and shown films of juicy medium rare burgers until you come to your senses...

...but you won't be alone Jules, cuz I'm witchu!
