I think I love her...

Survival Spice- the spicy, flavorful all natural gluten free barbecue rub that's great on just about anything Link to Desert Island Foods.com

Wow. Sonya Thomas (center) has done it again. The day after eating 22 grilled cheese sandwiches, she wins again by eating 35 Johnsonville Brats in 10 minutes. Seriously. 35 brats/10 minutes.

I've mentioned her before here and here and find myself fascinated with her. She weighs 100 pounds and says her stomach can expand to hold 16 pounds of food. That's a bowling ball!

I read that she manages a Burger King in Virginia. Do you think she trains there? I guess it could be worse, she could be in a White Castle uniform eating left over French Onion burgers by the sack.

Ow. I actually shuddered as I typed that.

What's keeping you from being a competitive eater?

Well for one thing how dare you insult the castle.
I could try out for eating a slammer.

Good for her, and being so slim -
I think she has to :pay: to eat at BK but don't quote me on that.

I don't have any real beef with White Castle, Kel. I didn't grow up with it so I don't have the emotional connection and I have enjoyed a few after too many beers.

I didn't get a very good review from our 'man on the ground' in Illinois on the new French Onion burger, so the idea of eating bags of leftovers was quite the visual, I thought.

For all I've been lucky enough to learn about great food, I'm most certainly not a 'food snob'. Sorry if I sounded that way, I'd love to hear from someone who's tried one and liked it.

She only eats competitively. Aside from that, she just drinks Tab. That's the only way.

Good for her, but really, an expanding stomach is not something I aspire to. I barely watch competitive eating, much less participate.
